Lunch with Grammy

Addison was just freezing at school drop-off this morning, but we got both girls to school on time in this chilly weather.

This week has been declared as Grandparents’ Week at Gilchrist, so to kick things off, Grammy came to eat lunch with her! She got her favorite Chicken Salad Chick meal, plus an extra cookie. And then of course they had to visit the book fair together!

Trying to stave off a bit of a cold I feel coming on, so I had some emergen-c last night, and some hot tea this afternoon. I’m having more hot tea tonight, and I’ll have more emergen-c later too.

We raced around like crazy after school and work, getting everyone picked up and back home, with a quick snack/dinner for Emmie and I, before heading to gymnastics. She started stretching for a few minutes to warm up, but then her tummy started hurting. She didn’t make it much longer before she needed a potty break, and then we ended up coming home early. We got to see the last bits of the sunset on the ride home though.

We did our tv snuggle time, and then headed back to Emmie’s room for bedtime. Both girls were pretty sleepy, so they both fell asleep easily. Emmie and Pennie are just SO cute and precious together when they hold each other like this!

I need to go wash up all the dishes from last night and today, and then settle down to rest. I’ve already laid out a warm outfit for Addison tomorrow, and Emerson found her own outfit too.
