Lion King Sunrise

On our way to NFC, we turned the corner down Henderson Road and were in awe of the sunrise down the street. I WISH we had a clearer view without all the trees, but even with just the little bit of a peek we get to see, it was giving Lion King Sunrise vibes.

And Emmie was finally back to school today, after her spring break and additional teacher planning day have finally all come and gone.

Tonight’s super simple dinner was chicken nuggets for the girls, with a side Caesar salad and canned pears, and a very delicious chicken caesar wrap for me, using the carb-balance tortillas, with LOTS of parmesan cheese & caesar dressing. I just didn’t have any of the pears with the girls, since the only ones we had were the ones in heavy syrup, and obviously those ones are not low-carb.

Emerson ended up getting seconds on nuggets & pears, and Addison ate her whole plate, plus her sister’s salad. Emmie has never been a big salad girl, but Addie is a little bunny rabbit with how much she loves lettuce!

The girls hopped in the bath after dinner, and I edited another little TikTok video from more clips of our Disney trip. I just keep reminiscing and kinda wishing we could go back already!

The girls each grabbed a snack, and then we watched a few short episodes of PB&J Otter before bedtime. I did Emmie’s bedtime in her room, and we let Addie just fall asleep in my bed for a little bit, and we’ll carry her to her own room in a little bit.

I listened to my audio book and washed up some dishes for 15 minutes after getting the girls to bed. The plan was then to write this post quickly, so I would have time to re-paint my very badly chipped fingernails, but I can’t find my nail polish remover anywhere and it’s driving me crazy! Gonna scour the house again one more time to see what I come up with, and hopefully I’ll get lucky. And if all else fails, I’ve already got two bottles added to my Walmart cart for this weekend…
