Unfortunately, I had to go back to work today, but the sky on the way there was absolutely insane! It was just barely misting, but it was so. orange.
And then I got to my office, and found two more little gifts waiting for me on my desk! One was a cute coffee mug, that I forgot to take a photo of, and then some more treats for my new fish bowl candy bucket.

For lunch today, my pasta leftovers from last night were super delicious again today, but I had packed way too much. I ate half, and saved the other half for tomorrow’s lunch. But also, look at my cute new Kindle cover the Jeff got me for Christmas! It has a little hand strap on the back, and a kickstand, so now I can set it up like this to read while I eat, and be mostly hands free.

During the day today, Jeff was off with the kiddos, and they met up with Nana for lunch at Whataburger, and then they went thrifting. Well, Nana and the kids went thrifting, and Jeff came back home to work on some laundry and chores. They hit up six or seven thrift stores, and they really hit the jackpot on a bunch of great items! Nana got Coach sneakers, Emmie found a Nike hoodie (as well as jeans, two dresses, a knit top, a t-shirt, and a pair of gold sandals), and Gabe thrifted a Sereed two-wheel balance bike for Addie. Plus they all got a few books each. I was jealous of their thrift trip and thrift hauls! (No pics of any of that though.)

After work, I ran by the house to pick up Jeff, and the dinner we had planned to make tonight, and headed up to Havana to Nana’s house, since she had taken all the kids home with her after thrifting. We collaborated to make a mish-mash dinner of chicken nuggets, white mac & cheese, green peas, steamed broccoli, and homemade chicken salad (with pecans, grapes, and apples) on croissants. I was excited to use this pot-filler on their new stove – so fancy!

On our way home to Tally, we went through the Allison Christmas Spectacular at the Havana Christmas Tree Farm, and it was amazing! This was their first year solely at the tree farm, and I think it was better than ever here. Lots more space to spread out the lights, much easier to get in and out of (than their house/street), and easier to see everything. I also didn’t feel as rushed driving through here, especially tonight, as we just went super slow and took as much time as we wanted. And obviously the girls just absolutely loved it! If you haven’t gone yet, you have two more nights, and I highly recommend making the trip out there!

Gabe uncovered all of his and Ryan’s old Lego’s up in the front bedroom, and wanted to go through them tonight. He was specifically looking for Marvel mini-figs to add to a display wall he has at his house in South Carolina, and he lucked out finding some good stuff. The girls were also enthralled with everything, and just wanted to be involved in anything he was doing. At one point, I tried to get Addie to come sit down to watch Bluey, but she was like, “Well is he still gonna be doing this?” She was basically hinting at, if he’s still down here, then I am too… So we just let them stay up super late, way past their bedtime, hanging out playing Lego’s with their big brother, since it’s his last night here with us.

This baby nugget was exhausted though, and even though she was just kind of pretending to be asleep here, a few minutes after this (after the sibling photo below) she crawled up in Jeff’s lap, and fell asleep pretty much immediately.

And we got one last picture with big brother Gabe on his last night here, since he has to drive back home tomorrow morning.

Although his visit was very short this time, it was also very sweet and we’ve loved having him here with us! Both girls are truly obsessed with their big brothers and just love whenever they can come down to visit. So glad he was able to come hang out with us for a few days!
