Lemon Ladies

My precious little lemon ladies were looking so very cute in their lemon dresses today!

We actually thrifted this dress for Emerson a couple of weeks ago right before school started. And I love that they coordinate together so well.

I asked Jeff to take a few more pics of Emmie with her “family traditions” project this morning, because it just turned out so cute and we’re so proud of her!

So, I accidentally broke a friend’s plant at work today, because I was smacking some papers on what I thought was her candy dish, but was actually her very tiny bud freshly rooted & potted… So I immediately went and broke off a piece of my plant so I could root it in water for her, and make her a new plant.

Y’all! Can you please look at how beautiful my baby girl is in her first big girl school photos!? They just took the pics yesterday, and we already got them today. I was shocked and surprised at her perfect smile, and how great the pictures actually is!

Nana picked up both girls from school early, and took them back to her house. Then Jeff and I came over when we got off work, and we had a delicious dinner she had cooked for us!

And lemme tell ya, this baby sister tore up some corn on the cob tonight! She actually ate TWO whole ears of corn, all on her own! She was very proud of herself, and we were proud of her too.

Afterwards, we had a double-screen slideshow going on seeing their photos and videos of their recent Alaskan cruise. The glaciers and snow capped mountains were beautiful, and all the sights of downtown Seattle looked really cool. But the girls were starting to get tired and cranky, and t was getting late, so we had to load up and head home.

But then as we passed the Krispy Kreme, and saw the “hot now” sign lit up, Emerson was dying for some of her fave glazed donuts. So I impulsively pulled in, and then decided to order two sorting hat donuts too, once I saw the Harry Potter donuts on the menu.

So we went a little wild and had donuts with the girls when we got home at 9pm (yes, that’s way too much sugar at that time, but yolo, right!?), and then we got started on bedtime. Luckily, it was late enough that they were so tired the sugar didn’t effect them too much, and they were asleep in no time.
