We started wearing some festive Valentine’s outifts today, since we have so many pink or heart things in the girls’ closets. (And if you look closely, you can see Addie chose to eat just a plain piece of white bread for a morning snack today.)
We loved running into the triplets and Uncle Bo at school this morning, and getting all the loves from them in their van.
Also, Addie was wearing cute little stick-on earrings today for school. They probably only lasted like 30 minutes, but they were cute to start with!
Still trekking through the giant “Onyx Storm,” kind of tandem-reading the hard copy while also listening to the audio book (especially while driving or washing dishes). Currently right at exactly 50%, so I’m making good progress, but still have hundreds of pages to go.
This week is Grandparents’ week and also the book fair at Gilchrist, so Grammy went to lunch with Emerson today! Grammy asked what she wanted to eat, and Emerson requested her favorite melt from Chicken Salad Chick. Emmie was so super happy to have Grammy there, and Grammy said they had a great time!
After work, I ordered curbside pickup from Taziki’s for myself for dinner. Their special today was a lamb burger with chips & a side, and I added extra sides of hummus & whipped feta, and it was so delicious!! There was a little bit of honey on top of the whipped feta and it was sooo good.
I also stopped by Nothing Bundt Cakes to pick up my free birthday bundtlet! I chose the lemon flavor, because I love lemon desserts. But I was too stuffed from that meal to eat dessert, even after not finishing the pasta salad and chips, because that burger was so huge.
Jeff picked up the girls after work, and they chose to go to Waffle House for dinner, since they didn’t have to be at church early. I was there early for worship team rehearsal, so that’s why I got my own take-out, but since they had lots of time, they had breakfast for dinner before heading to church.
After church, when we got ready for bedtime, Addie was very proud of this “new” hand-me-down nightgown from Emmie. However, I’m only just now noticing how dirty her little feet are! One of the play area’s at school has that rubber mulch stuff made from old tires, and on the days they play in it, she gets quite messy. She’s already asleep now though so I can’t clean her up…. Oh well…
Everyone is asleep now, and I’ve got about 25 minutes left before I finish my current Kindle book, which is the latest from Emily Henry published last year around this time, “Funny Story.” I’m not done with it yet, but it’s already my new fave of hers. Can’t wait to see how it ends.
