Legacy Students

Jeff took Addison to school today, and she was very excited about that, and about her granola bar. 🙂

But when Emerson noticed I wasn’t getting showered and ready as early as usual, she asked what was up. And when she heard I was going to NFC for the triplets kindergarten graduation, she basically begged to go with me. And even though I had planned to send her to school, I decided she could stand to miss a day, especially so close to the end of the year, so she came with me too! It was a really cute little program, and all the girls did a great job on their speaking parts.

When they walked across the stage at the end to get their little diplomas, and announced their names, they also announced they were “legacy students” of alumni parents, and said both Bo & Meg’s names and their graduation year, and the triplets just thought that was the coolest thing, and had been talking all about it. I also saw a few of my friends that I graduation with who had kindergarten grads today, so that was fun too.

Then after the program, we all went over to First Watch together for a giant family brunch. This was my first time there, and I had been waiting to try it out. I started with the honey crunch iced coffee (I think that’s what it was called), recommended by our friend Kayla, and then had the Elevated Egg Sandwich with a side of Million Dollar Potatoes. And yeah, this was all absolutely delicious!!

After school and work today, we had a super chill Friday night at home, eating pizza and watching the first half of “High School Musical.” Then I washed some dishes, and I tried to get the girls to clean up the living room a little bit, but they were just too busy playing together, so we’ll have to deal with that tomorrow…

Emerson has been reminding me to take a picture of the Mother’s Day gifts she made me like every night, and I honestly just kept forgetting. So here’s what she made me at school! The top is her as a Pharaoh, with some hieroglyphics, from their ancient civilization study. Then I love the cute little MOM booklet she made, with all the sweet things about me inside. She really knows me well!

And here are the other things they got me… in addition to the Lego succulent I put together the other night, and the lazy Susan marker holders for my fancy marker collection, there is also this second Lego kit, and these two cute crossword and word search books. Such sweet gifts, for my little activity loving self!

At bedtime, Addison was just looking especially cute, with her messy pigtails, and her stick-on earrings, reading herself a little puppy book.

OK and that’s all for now, time to chill…
