Lasagna & Pressure Washing

Although Emerson isn’t quite smiling in any of our morning pictures, both girls were very happy and in a good mood today.

And both girls had great days at school.

We tried out this “new” lasagna brand tonight, and it was good, but wasn’t great. I honestly thought the Stouffer’s brand was better, so we’ll just switch back to that next time we’re in the mood for lasagna.

I washed up a load of dishes while the lasagna & garlic bread was baking in the oven, and Jeff decided to get started on an outdoor project. He got started with only the plans to pressure was my kitchen mats that were in desperate need of a cleaning, and then we ended up kinda “accidentally” pressure-washing all of the patio, the table & chairs, Addison’s high chair, and finally my kitchen mats. Jeff started, and then we switched places and I finished, and we got everything done in just over an hour or so.

Jeff finally ate dinner after we got everything all finished, and Emerson decided she needed a snack. She loves these little crab snackers I got, so she ate a couple of those for her bedtime snack, followed by a little Danimals yogurt smoothie as well.

It’s hard to tell since I didn’t take a full-on “before” photo, but this is definitely a huge improvement. We did this back in 2020 (can’t find that post, but I found the post from when we did it in 2019), but never got around to it in the summer of 2021 since we had a newborn to take care of, so it was way overdue.

We got the girls put down for bed a little later tonight than usual, and although Emmie did pretty good with her bedtime, Addie was actually fighting sleep. She thankfully wasn’t fussing or crying, she was just laying in my arms, eyes open but very heavy-lidded. We made a quick video-call with Grammy to tell her we loved her and are praying for her back surgery tomorrow (please pray for her with us please!), and then Jeff took the baby to try to get her to sleep, so I could write this post.

I need to go clean up a little bit in the kitchen, and then maybe I’ll paint my nails? But I’m pretty tired from already having washed dishes earlier and all the pressure washing after dinner, so maybe I’ll just watch Survivor and then head off to bed…
