It’s Like Rain!

We finally got a sister picture with Pennie, and everyone looking up and smiling!

And one of just my little cuties by themselves, holding Voldemort & Harry Potter 😉 Also, Addie slept in yesterday’s outfit, and felt the need to keep the same pants on, even though I didn’t love them with the yellow dress and couldn’t talk her out of them 🤣

Little Addie working hard on her letters at school today.

Jeff had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon, so he ran around town taking care of a couple other errands too, and then also picked up the girls. That worked out well for me, because I needed to stop at Aldi because I forgot shredded mozzarella cheese for tonight’s dinner. I wandered down the aisle in the middle with all these fun goodies, and absolutely loved these official Harry Potter Squishmallows. I wished I could have bought the whole four-piece set, they were so cute! But I definitely couldn’t justify spending $12 each on stuffies as a 30-something-year-old woman 🤣

But then we had a whole “Italian” night with food completely made from my Aldi grocery trip the other day. I didn’t actually pay attention to the cooking instructions of these chicken parm patties before I bought them, so I expected that I’d bake them, or air fry them. But it specifically said “do not air fry” and then gave directions to pan fry in oil, which I have not done before. So I was a little nervous to try that out, but it turned out delicious and perfectly cooked and I loved it.

My tiniest girl did a great job helping me get the manicotti ready. She specifically did good sprinkling the cheese on top. If you can’t understand her adorable, tiny voice in this video, she says, “It’s like rain!”

Oh I also got this at Aldi, and I think I’ll be putting it on everything I can for the foreseeable future…

This was SO good. Honestly like, restaurant quality, if I do say so myself. (Side note – now I have an entire skillet full of used oil, that I’m actually not sure what to do with… How do I dispose of that? I’m thinking I could save a to-go cup from dinner tomorrow night, & pour it out in that, then double-bag it in some plastic grocery bags?)

Dinner took a little longer to cook, so we had dinner a little later than usual, which meant it was practically bedtime once we finally finished eating. So we got everything tidied up and started on our typical bedtime things. Emmie was exhausted and we got her down in no time. Addie fell asleep with Daddy pretty easily too, and so now we get to just watch some tv and hang out a little bit…
