This morning, Addison was ready for another day at school, and Emerson was ready to spend the day with Grandmommie!
And Addison was so happy and excited to get to hug Grandmommie when we saw her!
We didn’t actually have any lunch plans today, but around 11:40am, Meg started texting us asking who was free for lunch. Mom answered saying her and Aunt Suzanne had just made an impromptu plan to meet up at 4Rivers if we wanted to join them, and obviously we wanted to do that! So Meg stopped by my office building to pick me up on the way, and we had a great lunch together, with delicious food!
Then we decided we really just had to stop by Red Eye for a quick coffee on our way back to work, for an afternoon caffeine boost.
We got two pictures of Addie pie today, practicing with scissors and working on the number zero.
After work, I picked up the girls, and Grandmommie reported that they had a great day together, running some errands and she got to pick out a little toy at Target. When Jeff got off work, he picked up Chick-fil-A, and we met up at church for a quick dinner. Then the girls sat in the back of the sanctuary while Jeff and I both had praise team rehearsal (me singing, Jeff working lights), before we took them up to their classes later.
After church, Addison was being so silly, telling me about some dance or something she does at school, and although she was just chatting and chatting about it, she would never actually show me the dance, so who knows what the dance actually was…
Since Grandmommie got Emerson a prize today, she also let her pick out something for her sister, and they got her this cute squishy Bingo stuffy. And obviously she loved it. And obviously she was just so cute in her Bluey jammies, holding her new Bingo.
Pennie followed us back to Addie’s room for bedtime stories tonight, Emerson covered her up with a chocolate chip cookie blanket, and everyone was just all cozy and cuddly and cute.
I think I’m ready to turn off my brain now for the night, and just watch something mindless and relaxing until I take my nightly “nappetizer” on the couch before bed…
