Hunting Eggs with Cousins

Jeff left early this morning to make the drive to pick up the boys halfway, to bring them back here for their spring break. So this morning, I made breakfast for just the girls and I, and these girls went to town on some eggs and buttered bread!

And then we went out on a fun morning excursion! First, we met up with Aunt Meggie, Uncle Bo, the triplets, and Grammy and Papa, for our first egg-hunting event at a church up near Grammy and Papa’s neighborhood. The girls got their faces painted, got to do a bouncy house, and hunted eggs for candy of course!

Then we caravanned over to Tekesta Park for some playground fun.

And Aunt Meggie put Addie Pie on the slide for the first time!

Then our final stop all together was Chick-fil-A for lunch and more fun in their play place.

After staying awake for ALL of the festivities this morning, Addison was so ready for a nap, and honestly, so were Emerson and I as well!

Playing in the fort after nap, before Emmie and I worked together to clean up the fort, and clean up the living room, while Addie played in her little pack & play.

The girls and I took a quick trip to Walmart, looking for Pioneer Woman matching Easter dresses, that we nowhere to be found. I’ve seen it advertised online, but apparently our Walmart isn’t actually carrying the PW clothes. So maybe I need to check one of the fancier Walmarts in town…

We had some more time at home, so we went for a little stroller walk / bike ride down the street, enjoying the beautiful day.

Then Mama wanted sushi for dinner, so we ordered from Mizu, and got Emmie and Addie some fried rice, and went to pick it up to bring home. And it was sooo good. And I was stuffed.

The girls had lots of fun in a nice long splashy bath time, then we got them both in some clean jammies. We knew Jeff, Ryan, and Gabe were almost home, so we just hung out in the living room waiting for them, so the girls could see them before bedtime.

They did get home around 7:30, and Emmie was so excited to see them. But they hadn’t eaten dinner yet, so they ran out to pick up CFA while I did the bedtime routine for Emmie, with Addie in tow, flopping all over the place, loving on Emmie’s giant chick.

The girls both did good at bedtime, probably because they were definitely very tired after our big day. Jeff is watching the first episode of “Moon Knight” for his third time (once by himself, once with me) and their first time, and then we’ll pick up together where I left off in the second episode and watch it all together.
