Hungarian Paprika

We’ve had a very full, good day today, but I’m just about out of words and brain power, so I’m gonna write this as quickly as possible tonight… Cuties before school, back to regular schedule today.

Beautiful sunrise over 7Brew, when I went through the drive-thru for a Friday pay-day treat, when we forgot to make the pot of coffee at home.

“Odd Month Lunch Bunch” with my unit at work today. Brooke chose Blaze pizza, and we added my newest employee to the group today too. I hired my first employee in my new supervisor role, and Molly starts training with me on Monday, so I’m looking forward to having her with us.

And then we walked next door for another hit of caffeine. I got a pumpkin cream chai latte, which is so delicious and like fall in a cup.

I got off work early, and picked up Emmie for gymnastics. We had some time to kill, so she actually suggested we go to a thrift store. She found some books, and I found a puzzle, and we paid less than $3.

I also met up with a girl who has a consignment booth and sells vintage stuff there and on FB Marketplace, to buy these three art pieces from her. I love the piano girl, and can’t wait to make a vintage-inspired gallery wall on the empty wall in our front hallway.

My little bookworm started her book on the short drive from the thrift store to gymnastics.

And she had a great afternoon at gymnastics, and I loved getting my chance to watch her.

And then she was right back to reading on our way to pick up Addie.

I made some baked pork chops for dinner tonight, and finally got out the Hungarian paprika my parents brought back for me from their European trip back in the spring. I just drizzled olive oil & seasonings, then baked, and they came out pretty good and juicy.

Jeff was doing yard work tonight, so it was just a girls dinner with my silly little ones.

We spent about 30 minutes doing some clean up around the house tonight, because we had a lot to clean up, but a lot we need to do tomorrow, and wanted to make sure we could get as much done as possible. Then we watched a couple episodes of Bluey, before going through our bedtime routines. Emmie and I read a library book about Johnny Appleseed, so then I sang the old song for her, and had to pull up a couple videos of it to show her on YouTube.

Feels like rarely, if ever, do we have so many things to report about on a weekday, but today really was full, and so good, and we’ve got another fun, full day planned again tomorrow!
