Hummingbirds & Butterflies

My cutie little mermaid girls were both sweet and happy this morning, as always.

Got quite a few good pictures of Addie girl from her teachers today at school.

When we got home after school & work, we spent a few minutes working on the puzzle, and you can see how much Jeff and I actually got done late last night, as he stayed and worked while I blogged, and then I came back and worked for another hour with him after that.

Then I “grilled” some flank steak and made steak & bleu salads for dinner for Jeff and I, with some cut up strawberries & garlic cheese toast on the side. Emerson had another lunchable, and Addie had a hodge podge of random things.

And since we had a little bit of steak left still, I scrambled up a few eggs, and decided I’d have steak & eggs for my lunch tomorrow. Kinda random, but I was proud of myself for thinking of it, and getting it ready and taken care of tonight.

Jeff took care of Addie Pie after dinner, and got her dressed and ready for bed, then fed her a bottle. I let Emmie stay up late working on the puzzle with me, because I could tell we were getting so close to finally finishing…

I let her place the very last piece…

And then, after 17  days working on this one (we literally started on June 11!), we finally finished the hummingbirds & butterflies! It took 2.5 weeks, but it actually felt longer, especially since it only took us 5 days to finish our NYC one earlier this month. But I’m proud we stuck with it and got it done. And now I’m already excited to start on another one 🙂 Maybe we’ll take a break for a few days, or maybe we’ll start a new one right away. We’ll see…

Jeff did a great job getting Addison to sleep, and I went through the bedtime routine with Emerson. But I was missing my baby girl, after spending most of the night with my big girl, so I just had to scoop her up and snuggle that sleepy girl for w few minutes before laying her down in her crib.

I’ve got tons of dishes to take care of, so I’m popping my earbuds in, and turning on my current audiobook, and I’m gonna wash as much as I can, but only set a 20-minute timer 😉
