I was at church early this morning for nursery duty, but Jeff did a good job getting the girls dressed (with the clothes I had laid out for them) and to church on time.
After church, we went out to lunch at Dreamland with our Connect Group, for yummy bbq. It was our last Connect Group meeting for the spring, until we start meeting up again in the fall.
The girls both went down for their naps when we got home, and I attempted to read for about 15 minutes, before I fell asleep right there in my comfy chair, with the windows open and the lovely breeze blowing through.
Oh and here’s a quick book recap for April.
After my quick chair-nap, I dove to Walmart to pickup our weekly grocery order. I had the windows down and the music turned up loud, and it felt like 2011 for a minute there…
Then once we got the groceries put away, we went over to Nana & PopPop’s house to hang out and eat some dinner with them. And the weather was still just so perfect, Jeff had to put the hammocks up for us, so we could “hang” out outside for a while. And it was so wonderful.
We all went back to the hammocks after diner, but Nana ended up taking the girls inside eventually for dessert, and Jeff and I stayed outside and enjoyed the quiet, just swinging away by ourselves.
We did go inside to get dessert for ourselves eventually, once we finally hoisted ourselves out of the hammocks. It was bedtime when we got home, so we got started on our usual routines. Emmie was easy-peasy to get down, but Addie has needed a lot of extra time being snuggled in Daddy’s arms. So hopefully we can get her into the crib soon, because when I tried earlier, she stood right back up and started crying. So yeah, hopefully she’ll be ready to lay down soon.
And since today’s the last day of April, here’s our 1-second-every-day video for this past month!
