After an extremely busy day yesterday, all of us were able to sleep in a good bit this morning, and then we had the most laid back Black Friday. Well, I think Emerson was still up early, but I slept until about 9am, and then when I got up, Emmie and I put on a movie and I kinda snoozed off and on during that for a while too. But my poor little Addie was really sleeping a lot. She didn’t even wake up until 11am, when we actually had to wake her up. Poor little girl wasn’t feeling well today, and her body needed all the rest.
Well, we left Jeff and Addison at home, and Emerson and I went across town to the CMX Cinemas, to meet up with Grammy, Aunt Meggie and the triplets, for a girls day to see “Wicked For Good!”

The whole outing was actually a surprise for the triplets (I had already told Emerson, and so she knew the whole time), but they were so surprised and confused to walk in to the lobby to see Grammy, Emmie and I in the concessions line. We all had popcorn and drinks, and Grammy brought cute little Wicked pouches full of more snacks for the four girlies.

And the movie was amazing, of course, just like we knew it would be! (We knew ahead of time which scene we wanted to skip out on, and took all the girls for a mid-movie bathroom break all-together, which worked out perfectly and we didn’t have any rogue potty requests, since we were in the theater for almost three hours including trailers and movie time.)
I teared up a little during “For Good,” because it’s a beautiful song, with beautiful lyrics, and one of my favorite lines is, “You’ll be with me like a handprint on my heart.” And that is just so sweet, and I love thinking about that line in relation to our little girl gang we were all there with today, and how much I love them all! Okay, that was mushy and cheesey, let’s move on 😆

Had to go wandering around outside in order to find the Wicked movie poster for our group photos, and it ended up being in direct sunlight of course, but we did the best we could!

Addison ended up just staying on the couch with Daddy all day watching movies, but she did at least eat FOUR homemade peanut butter uncrustable sandwiches. I sat down next to her when we got home, and she was just so pitiful and sleepy. And even though you can tell her little cheeks are pink and flushed, her temp was only 99 degrees, so she technically didn’t even have a “real” fever. But as we sat there together, she ended up falling asleep while we were holding hands, it was pitiful, but also very sweet.

While baby sister napped for about an hour and 45 minutes, Jeff was on the computer building a website for one of his on-the-side clients, and Emerson and I cleaned up the living room as quietly as possible, so as to not wake up Addie Pie. And then once she woke up, she woke up sweet and in a better mood, and not quite so pitiful. We gave her some meds though still, and once they kicked in, she was silly and in a much better mood.
For dinner, we all just chose some of the varying leftovers we had to clean up, and had a random variety of stuff (like I had spaghetti & meatballs from Nana, and the last of the honey-glazed carrots I made yesterday). We watched “Home Alone” while we ate dinner, and stayed up a little late since Addie’s nap had been so late. Both girls still went to sleep easily with no fussing, probably since it was so late.
Now I gotta figure out next week’s meal plan, and do the grocery list for a Walmart pickup order for tomorrow, if I have any brain power to do so…
