We were so happy to have Grammy and Papa join us at Generations for Grandparents’ Day breakfast this morning! Emmie and Addie got some special time with them before church started, eating muffins and drinking apple juice.
I was working GC Kids JR check-in this morning, but then Meggie needed me to help with Baby Hayden, and obviously I jumped at the chance. I fed him a bottle and got him to sleep in the Mommy & Me room, after a little bit of awake time, just staring and chit-chatting.
And then we all went out to lunch together at El Jalisco. Emmie and Ellie were in their own little world together sitting by each other at lunch, and it was very cute watching them.
And I don’t know what this little girl was all about, but she was cute nonetheless. And then she spent most of the lunch all sweet and cuddled up Grammy.
After lunch, we get the grumpy little Addie Pie down for a nap, and Jeff laid down too. Emmie didn’t wanna nap, but I let her stay up and watch tv on her own. Meanwhile, I made myself a quick iced coffee to-go, and then treated myself to an afternoon pedicure, which was way overdue. (Also, peep the friendship bracelet I made at the birthday party with Emmie yesterday.)
I was able to take a quick 30-minute power nap once I got back home, before it was time to head back to church. We had a giant group dinner, followed by Connect Groups, which is always fun and lively and chaotic. But I also didn’t take any more pictures the rest of the night in all that chaos.
We had a bit of a rough bedtime (mostly just with Addison), but the girls did eventually both go to sleep. Jeff is also asleep early tonight, so it’s just me and Pennie for a bit before bedtime.
