Grains Bowl

This morning’s sister pics actually only included one big sister, because one little sister was having a fit over putting shoes on when it was time to go.

But luckily, by the time we got to school, she was feeling better and let me take this coy little photo before heading inside.

Megan and I met up for lunch today at Cava for a sister lunch. (Mama was planning to meet us, but she wasn’t able to make it today, so we’ll make it up with her next week.) We literally love this place so much. I get the same BYO grains bowl with half spicy lamb meatballs & half falafel, and like every vegetable possible, with two sauces, because I love toppings and condiments.

Jeff wasn’t feeling great and went to bed super early tonight. So instead of making the korma chicken curry I had planned, and just did grilled cheese and the tiny bit of tomato soup I had on hand. We ate in the living room, and I introduced the girls to the live-action Beauty and the Beast, since they’ve been very into the animated version for the last couple of weeks. And they were very into it tonight.

I had planned to read (this new book that I just started on my break at work today) while they kept watching the movie, but honestly I was distracted and ended up just playing a game on my phone instead.

I got them both down for bedtime and sleeping soundly pretty easily, luckily, especially since it was a “one-parent-put-down,” like they call it on Bluey. I’m gonna set up my phone on the windowsill above the sink now, so I can watch part of last nights’ Survivor episode while I wash some dishes…
