(This is a combo post for Monday 10/3/22 & Tuesday 10/4/22.)
MONDAY
Both of my happy girls, wearing pink outfits for the start of “Go Pink” for breast cancer month!
Addie just wanted to take her school photo sitting in the parking lot 😉
I will be rocking my own pink all month, with this new ID badge pull my Mama got me for work.
And this leftover white chicken chili from Sunday night at Meg’s house was delicious for lunch Monday.
When we got home, Addie was napping in the car, so Emmie and I put out our new GO PINK sign that Grammy picked up from TMH for us. And I love it!
Jeff hung out with the girls while I cooked dinner…
And then we ate our chicken Caesar wraps & sweet potato fries outside on the back patio.
They were looking up at the moon together.
Then we stayed outside and played for about 30 minutes, until it wasÂ
But after dinner, I was feeling so extremely tired. I had some sinus pressure and and a headache, and I lost ALL My energy for the day. So while we were getting the girls to bed, I went ahead and washed my face and got ready for bed, and then took some drugs to help my sinuses and help me sleep. And then I was out cold by 9pm, and so obviously I didn’t blog last night.
TUESDAY
Addison was a little bit grumpy this morning while we tried to take pictures, but by the time we got to school, she was a perfectly happy little girl!
And Emerson was just a happy, silly girl all morning!
I walked the 1.5 blocks in the beautiful weather at lunch time today, to go over to Meg’s building to share our lunch break together.Â
The funny thing is, we both had almost identical lunches today – leftover chili from their house Sunday night, with a little container of sour cream, the last bit of a bag of shredded cheese, crackers/chips, and a drink. We’re too similar and I love it 🙂
After picking up the girls, Jeff hung out with them in the hammock in the front yard while I listened to my audio book and cooked dinner.
I had an idea the other night for spinach artichoke pasta, so I Googled it and found a recipe that looked good, and made that tonight. It turned out god, but not great (it seemed like there was just something missing), but it was good enough 🙂
After a little bit of playtime in the backyard again, I got the girls in the bathtub, and Jeff worked on a few small home improvement projects. Then he got Addie some milk and rocked her to calm her down, and Emmie and I worked on her duet for the kids musical. She actually already knew so much of it, way more than I was expecting, and I was so impressed. (I also just loved the way she sitting here, with her little mug, and her legs folded, looking like such a big girl.)
It was good to get a couple extra hours of sleep last night (even though I have still had the sinus pressure & headache today), but now I’ve got to catch up on dishes from last night and tonight.Â
