We had a very rough night last night. Emerson woke up around 3am from a nightmare, and I got her back to sleep, but then by 3:30 she woke up saying her stomach hurt really bad. Then between 3:30 and 5:30 she ended up throwing up four times! Really only the first one was “real” throw up, and then the other three were kind of just thick bile, from an empty stomach. Poor little girl was miserable and pitiful though, so we all had a rough night (except luckily Addison slept through it all), and it feels like I’ve pretty much been awake since 3am.
So she stayed home with Daddy today, obviously. She felt fine by the time I left for work, and was even acting like her normal sweet, silly little self, so hopefully whatever random thing this was has already come & gone. Neither Jeff nor I ever felt bad, so we don’t think it was last night’s dinner. And I asked her teacher this morning, and she said they haven’t even had any bugs going around the class this week, so we really have no idea what this was.
It was very strange just dropping off Addison by herself this morning, and very quiet! But she was happy and in a good mood, just a little somber looking around the class at drop off. And then I got to see Megan and the triplets in passing as I left and they got to school!
I’ve been obsessed with avocado toast for breakfast this week, so I’ve been taking it to work and making it at my desk. My fave toppings are currently S&P, red pepper flakes, everything bagel seasoning, parmesan cheese & hot honey. It’s soooo good! I’m sure I’ll be having this a few days next week again too.
My friend Heather invited me to go shopping with her today on our lunch break today, so we went to Old Navy & Marshall’s. I needed a new lunch box (some stuff leaked in my old one, and it was like grungy and 5 years old anyways), and I found this new one that even came with two Tupperware, a water bottle and an ice pack!
And I got myself another new water cup for my ice water I drink at work all day every day.
Got a few fun pics of Addie through the day…
Now, although Emerson had to stay home “sick,” she was perfectly fine and had herself a good day with Daddy! He was still working from home, but he was able to take her out on his breaks, and they got chicken nuggets for lunch, built a fort for her to play in while Jeff worked, and then went on a bike ride for the afternoon break.
(Ugh yuck, I just realized I really need to spot-clean some places in the carpet…)
I picked up Addison after work and school, and headed to meet Jeff and Emerson at Jeff’s parents’ house. Of course addie fell asleep, but I loved the way her little leg was sticking up, propped up on top of her little teddy bear.
Jeff had picked up Chick-fil-A on their way over for dinner, for everyone but me… Because I was heading back out to meet up with my friend Britteny for a girls’ night dinner at Echalee.
Jeff brought the girls home and got them both ready for bed and down to sleep…
But Britteny and I stayed at the restaurant for a couple hours talking and chatting and eating the most delicious Mexican food. I got my favorite carnitas gordita, and it was the best one I’ve ever had from there.
It’s taken me forever to get this post written tonight, because uploading the pictures was being weird, and my whole site was being weird and it was just obnoxious. But I got it done, and now I need to pass out, because with the rough nights sleep, and my super full tummy from dinner, I can hold my eyes open one more minute!
