GC Easter Egg Hunt 2026

Started off my day with delicious avocado toast on my keto bread, with parm, EBTB seasoning, and a tiny drizzle of hot honey. Soo yumm. I made of can of biscuits for the rest of the fam, and they just ate them piping hot with some butter.

Then it was time to head to church for our annual Easter egg hunt! It was hot, but we had a great time with cousins and friends, running wild and playing and bouncing and finding eggs and eating snacks.

We had lunch from the snack stand at the church, and then went to the Bealls outlet to find some Easter shoes for Addison. Emerson was all set, but Addie needed a nice, new pair that wasn’t falling apart and dirty.

After shoe-shopping, we had our afternoon movie-rest time on the couch, watching Anastasia. I fell asleep, but after the movie, the girls got up and played for a while. Once I finally woke up and peeled myself off the couch, we headed out for some dinner and grocery shopping, since I didn’t do our usual Walmart pick-up order. We went to Smalls Sliders to share a couple of meals. We also just love eating out on their little side patio, with the fake turf, because it’s safe for the girls to get up and wander around it’s so casual.

A quick trip to Aldi, based on a very loose list and meal plan, but we still did well and managed to get what we needed to get through the week.

Oh and then Five Below because Addie wanted cotton candy at the church this morning and we never got any. We also let  them each pick out a little something to go into their Easter basket as well. Which was obviously a very big shopping decision for these littles.

We got the girls into the shower when we got home (Jeff installed a new rain shower shower head yesterday, and they squealed with excitement as they hopped in. I made myself some hot tea (I don’t feel sick, but the pollen is making me cough a bit), and then painted the girls fingernails to match their Easter dresses tomorrow.

We managed to get them both to sleep at a good time tonight, which now gives me enough time to paint my own nails as well. And probably make a second mug of hot tea as well.
