We forgot to get Addie breakfast at home today before leaving, so we went by their usual, favorite gas station on our way to school and work. Jeff is definitely “gas station guy” and always has been, and these girls are turning into little “gas station girls” too!

Emerson’s teacher posted these “I have a dream” essays today, and once again, I’m just extremely proud of Emerson for sharing her heart for Jesus! Especially at school, a public school at that, where she’s one of the few who even go to church.
It says, “I have a dream that everyone in the world would know and love the name of Jesus. I want it to happen because it will allow a lot of people to go to heaven and it will help missionaries. If this happens it will impact a lot of church ministries.”

While Emerson was in gymnastics tonight, I was listening to my audio book the whole time, instead of reading on my Kindle like usual. The end of my loan for this book was going to be tomorrow, so I knew I had to finish it, and I did! It wasn’t exactly what I was thinking it would be though. It was a little lighter honestly, as I was expecting something more along the line of “Daisy Jones and The Six” kind of intensity. But it was still good.

And this little girl had a great night at gym, and was feeling very strong afterwards! She’s also finally grown into this cute leotard we thrifted for $3 like two years ago, and she’s so sporty in it. I’ll have to get a picture from the back next time, because it’s cute even from the back.

When we got back home, we were finally able to eat. I had put some beef, peppers & onions in the crock pot this morning, with some taco seasoning and a fresh-squeezed orange, and then tonight I ate it on a low-carb tortilla like a big taco. It immediately started falling apart though because the meat & peppers/onions were so juicy, so I ended up just eating everything with a fork instead.

After Emmie and I finished eating, we started getting the girls ready for bed. While Emmie was working on her teeth and hair, Addie crawled up in my bed and made herself comfy-cozy.

Once we made it to Emerson’s room and they were both in their beds, they were both sound asleep almost immediately. Gymnastics nights wear everyone out, because Emmie works so hard and gets so tired, and Addie takes her sleepy gummy so early and then waits for a late bedtime. So really, it works out well all around, and makes for a pretty easy bedtime.
