I was too tired to post last night, and didn’t have many photos to share anyways. Well, I still didn’t take many today either, so it works out well to combine both days into one post tonight. So here’s a little Friday & Saturday combo post:
Friday
Both girlies had a good drop-off a school…
And then later, Emerson was treated to Chicken Salad Chick for lunch! Jeff had taken an extra day off work after our mini vacay, so he brought her lunch and they ate together.

Then at the end of the day, Jeff picked up both girls early from school. Emmie was finishing her lunch in the car, and they also got a giant king-sized Three Muskateers bar to share.

We heated up this beautiful bacon & potato foccaccia we got from that bakery in Jax, and we all shared it in the car for an appetizer on the way to Nana’s house in Havana.

We had pizza for dinner and helped Nana do some more unpacking and fixing things for a couple of hours. Emmie and I both ended up falling asleep in the living room, while Nana and Jeff kept working. Meanwhile, Addie was just wide awake chattering away the whole time!

We didn’t get home until after 10pm Friday night, and we were all exhausted and pretty much just went straight to bed…
Saturday
We re-heated a bunch of the bakery items we had left from the Jax bakery for breakfast today. We took some time to laze about a little bit, and then around mid-morning we got out and about. We divided and conquered today, sending Jeff and Addie to Home Depot for stuff he needed, and Emmie and I did the library and grocery pick-up (after coffee of course!).

Emmie’s “coffee” is actually chai tea with pumpkin & caramel, and it basically just tasted like very flavorful cream. But she loved it, and felt like such a big girl.

We did a trial run toady for her Halloween costume ideas. I bet you might be surprised by the character Emmie chose, but some of y’all could probably guess by the hair! It’s not perfect, but it was cute, and I think I can make it better next time…

Then the rest of the afternoon was a busy blur. We had leftovers for lunch at home, then did some chores – started a load of laundry, tidied the living room, put away the groceries, unpacked our bag of IKEA goodies, and a few other little things. Then we went out to Havana again to help Nana and PopPop wih more stuff. Jeff worked on fixing their dryer (that wasn’t set up correctly), while Nana and I unpacked all of her jewelry, plus made the spare bed, and unpacked another five or six giant boxes into their spare room closets. Jeff also helped his Dad fix one of the beds, and put together a new desk.
After all of that, we went back to the same little restaurant in downtown that we went to last Saturday, Gocki’s. We all tried a new meal today (except Emmie, she got the same thing), and all enjoyed everything we ordered. I had the club sandwich with sweet potato fries, and that was yummy.

We headed back home to Tally after dinner, and the girls were very quickly ready for bedtime. Jeff went to sleep early tonight too actually, so I’m going to watch more of the Everest earthquake docu-series on Netflix, since I’m still obsessing over all things Everest these days, and for the past few weeks.
