First picture of the day wasn’t even taken until lunchtime today! We all had something different for breakfast this morning, and then the girls and I ran out and did some errands, leaving Jeff at home to rest with a headache. After our errands and groceries and such, we went to meet Nana and PopPop for a nice lunch at Longhorn.

I really wanted a slice or two of that delicious bread, but I resisted. Except for just one bite that Emerson so sweetly fed me of her slice. And yes, there are carbs in the French onion soup, but that was a small amount, especially considering I opted for broccoli instead of a baked potato, with a Coke Zero.

Made a quick little video when we got home…
And the girls went out to play “wild girls” in the backyard together. When I went out to check on them, they were all “Watch this, come see this, look what I can do!”

And then this goofy little Penny dog just carries around giant LOGS in her mouth. She can destroy literally any “indestructible” toys, and chews on logs and bricks. She’s such a crazy girl!

And then we got busy picking off as many oranges as we possibly could. The problem is, the tree continues to grow bigger and bigger every year, and it’s literally too tall and high to reach a huge amount of them at the top. Jeff even got his big ladder out, and used the orange picker up there, and there are still so many he just wasn’t able get. We got over 100 a couple of nights ago, and we got probably another 100 today too. And there are probably still about 100 more up at the top.

It was starting to get colder and colder the longer we were out there, and it started sprinkling a little bit too. The girls were also barefoot and dirty after playing wild girls, so I put them in the bath as soon as we went inside. We propped up one of their tablets and they watched a movie in the nice warm water, and stayed in there a long time. Emmie cuddled up to read afterwards, and Addie cuddled up with a bucket of “fresh popcorn.” She kept repeating “fresh popcorn!” over and over again like, 10 times, running to tell Emmie and then running to tell Daddy, and just being so excited about her fresh popcorn!

I washed up a big load of dishes while listening to my audio book. Then we ordered Jersey Mike’s for pickup and I ran out and picked it up. I got their sub-in-a-tub, and they packed it full tonight.

Emmie and I spent another half hour or so reading more of Harry Potter after dinner, and then we all got moving for bedtime. I was finishing up a few things while the girls went and got settled, and by the time I got in there, they were both super still and very sleepy, so then we only needed two lullabies before they were completely out.
