We still only had one of the sisters off to school today, but Pennie wanted to get on the photos again.
And Addie showed up for photos too, in her jammies, carrying her bags, with her sparkly boots, ready for her 4-year-old well-check at the pediatrician’s office.
So I took Emerson to school today, and Jeff took Addison to her doctor’s appointment. She really wasn’t feeling too bad today, but we kept her home again, because she did still have a slight fever yesterday late afternoon.
And since today was Jeff’s birthday, they went out for a little birthday breakfast treat after the appointment, at Uptown Cafe! And Jeff’s dad, PopPop, came to meet them there.
And then she spent a few hours in her Elsa dress, like a beautiful little princess, complete with clip-on earrings!
For lunch today, Mama, Megan, Aunt Suzanne and I had a little girls lunch. We tried a new spot (none of us had been here before), called Hawthorn Bakery. I got a caprese grilled chicken sandwich on fococcia bread, and it was sooo good. It was literally everything I love, pesto, basil, balsamic, cheese, fococcia, crispy melty cheese. Mmm yum! Megan got the medianoche sandwich, and we shared a bunch of bites back and forth, and hers was really good too. My one complaint is that it’s expensive, and doesn’t come with a side. This $16 sandwich was amazing, but it could have at least come with a side of chips!
Sweet little girl crashed out at home for a nap time finally, snuggled up in Mommy & Daddy’s bed.
Jeff picked up Emerson early from school today, and they headed to Raising Cane’s again for dinner before church. He ordered food for all of us, and I went straight there after work, and my little kids meal was waiting on me when I got there. As was Elsa! 🙂
Jeff and Addie ran to Walmart to get dog food, and then they skipped church and went home. Emmie went to church early with me, and hung out on stage with me during worship team practice, since she was there too early for her own class. She was singing with us and dancing around, just so cute and sweet.
As usual, by the time we got home on a Wednesday night and got everything settled down, and everyone calmed down, and watched an episode of Bluey, it was 9pm and baby Addie Pie was just so exhausted she fell asleep on the couch.
Then when I got up to take Emmie to her room, Pennie climbed up on the couch to cuddle Addie, and Emmie had to get up next to her to love on her too.
OK, off to bed now…
