We were all up and at ’em earlier than usual this morning, so that we could get Jeff dropped at off church first thing. The team going to Moldova on the mission trip met at church at 7:15, we all prayed together, and then they were loading up to hit the road by 7:30!
They first drove to Jax, then flew to Washington D.C. They had about a 6+ hour layover there, and then their second flight took off around 7pm to go to Frankfurt, Germany. This one is 7.5 hours, so they’ll land there around 2:30am our time. Then after that they still have (maybe?) two more flights before they make it to their final destination, but I’m not exactly sure and I can’t figure out Jeff’s itinerary.

Addison was definitely very sad when we drove away from the church this morning, and kept saying, “I miss Daddy already, I want Daddy to come back.” But Emerson and I distracted her with questions about school and music class and played her favorite song (Love is a Butterfly, by Dolly Parton), and then she was happy again by the time we made it to school.

After work, I raced to pick up both girls, then raced back home. We had 15 minutes to let out Pennie and feed her dinner, and have Emerson change into her leotard. I also made some PB sammies for the girls (they don’t want jelly, just PB), and they each grabbed a cheese stick and a granola bar, for a hearty snack/supper on the way to the gym. We dropped Emmie off at the door just a couple minutes late, and this sassy little thing carried in her own tote bag with her tablet and snacks.

I definitely didn’t get as much reading done tonight since I had that cute little booger with me, wanting to play games and run around and just be her usual, cheeky little self. But she actually did great being there for so long tonight.

We grabbed kids meals for a second dinner from Arby’s after gym, and ate while we watched some of Beauty and the Beast. Been trying to cram in some more classic Disney movies, especially ones where the places or characters are featured at Disney World, before we go this upcoming weekend.
We did separate bedtimes and lullaby lists, once first for Addie until she fell asleep, and then I snuck into Emmie’s room for a second round. Both girls are currently sleeping in their own beds, and I’m hoping and praying they both stay that way through the night!

I’m going to go prep some of the morning things tonight, so there’s less to do tomorrow, since it’ll be just me trying to take care of all the things by myself with Jeff. Luckily, Emmie is usually a good helper in these situations, but mornings are always crazy even with two parents. So keep praying for Jeff and the team and their safety, and me and the girls doing the solo-parenting thing this week too!
