First Taste of Fall

Love these precious little girlies on a cool Monday morning! It feels like we got our first little taste of fall this morning, and it definitely left me wanting more.

And although it started off cool this morning, it was almost 90 by the time I picked Addie up from school, so she needed to sit down and have some water before we could head to the car.

Dinner tonight was the viral Turkish pasta recipe from a while back, that was so good it’s been added to my own dinner list permanently. Emmie just had butter noodles, but Addie actually loved the meat mixture with feta, so she had a variation on our pasta, but Jeff and I also had the garlic lemon cream sauce as well.

The first time I made this a few months back, I got a little carried away with the fresh garlic in the cream sauce, so it was kinda too bitter. But it was all perfect tonight, and so stinking delicious. Jeff was raving about it actually, and even ate seconds, which he rarely does. Glad I still had just enough for another bowl for lunch tomorrow!

The girls had bath time after dinner, while I got all the food put away, and then we watched a little bit more of Harry Potter together before bedtime. I need to go wash some dishes now though, so I’m going to set up my phone in the windowsill above the sink, pop in my earbuds, and watch part of an episode of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” while I work on that…
