Firehouse Flyover

And now today, Emerson finally went back to school after Christmas break! And despite the grimace on Addie’s face (this is the best of eight shots Jeff got, but apparently she was just feisty), she was actually happy 🙂

Emerson and I both needed to be at Wednesday night church early together. So I picked her up, submitted a mobile order for Firehouse (using points I got my sub for free!), and we had about 10 minutes to scarf down our sandwiches for dinner. While we were sitting there, so many planes were flying over, but this one giant Navy plane was so super cool! You can never tell in pictures how big it really is, or how low it was flying, but it was really neat.

Jeff picked up Addison from her school, and her and this little fellow had to give big hugs goodbye, and then were running and skipping down the road together.

Then Daddy and Addie had dinner at Taco Bell, before they made it to church eventually. And yes, this little goofball always eats her tacos like this with a fork.

Bedtime was a little bit chaotic tonight, because the girls were still a little wound up after church. It usually only takes 2-3 songs on our lullaby playlist before they’ve nodded off, but it took all six songs, plus the last one on repeat, before they were well and truly out. But they did fall asleep holding hands, so that was extremely precious.

Grabbing a little piece of my banana bread, and working on my puzzle, and then heading off to bed.

Tomorrow is Megan’s breast cancer surgery, and Mama and I are going to be there with them during that. Please be praying for her and her medical team tomorrow, specifically around mid-day when her surgery is scheduled.
