This little girl was just happy-go-lucky this morning, swinging her arms around and clapping, and just generally being her cute little self! (Which is why all of the morning photos are a bit blurry.)
In this photo below, she was looking up at me, asking, “A hug & a kiss, Mommy?” And I was like, “OF COURSE BABY!!!”
Today is boss’s day, so my co-worker’s and I surprised our boss with this beautiful floral arrangement, from A Country Rose Florist. She loved it!
Delicious cheese quesadillas for lunch, and more Kindle reading…
And then I warmed up the last of my morning coffee in the microwave, and found this last piece of cake in the little “treats to share” spot, which seemed like the perfect fit for my coffee! It was rich and delicious, and I didn’t even eat the icing… (I like the cake part the best, and usually leave the icing.)
Happy girl at school today!
See if you can spot the Emmie below… (Hint – she’s one of the firefighter’s, which is ironic considering where we went for dinner.)
Grammy picked her up from school today, and the family met up at Firehouse Subs for dinner before church. And Jeff got to join us tonight too!
And of course when given the choice to ride with Mommy, Daddy or Grammy, she chose the Jeep!
We had to go for a walk to the rocks before going inside of course.
And then she was ready to go to class and have fun with some Play-Doh!
We had a great night in choir. Last week, a bunch of people were out, but tonight our numbers were back up, and it’s just so fun to sing in such a huge Christmas choir. This first song is one of my favorites. We’ve sung it a number of times over the year, but it’s juts a beautiful song. And the second one I love, because I had a little obsession with Fanny Crosby in elementary school, I even remember writing a little report about her for school one time!
Jeff took Emerson home once he finished up his men’s Bible study. I had regular choir, followed by Singing Christmas Tree choir, followed by praise team rehearsal, so I didn’t leave church until just after 8:45pm. I’m not complaining about that though, because I love singing and I love choir, but I’m glad Jeff was able to take Emerson home, so she wasn’t out that late. This is how he found her when he picked her up from her class 😉
I got home around 9:15, and Jeff was just leaving Emmie’s room. He said he had been in there for almost an hour, doing all the snacks and lullabies and rocking and back-scratching and “Jesus Loves Me’s” and finally she was ready to lay down in her bed.
Luckily, I wrote most of this post earlier today, and updated it along the way, so I only had to catch up on the post-dinner stuff once I got home. So I finished this quickly, and now it’s time for a snack & a candle & a movie. At least until I fall asleep in the living room…
