Festa di Compleanno

Jeff and I were both serving in GC Kids this morning, so the whole fam went to church early. And first thing when we got there, we filmed a quick video to share…

🌍✨ Emerson is running in our church’s annual AG BGMC Fun Run for Missions on Sunday, October 5th!

This year we’re partnering with Asia’s Little Ones to raise $10,000 for the Life Center Orphanage in Asia Pacific, where kids receive meals, education, a safe place to sleep, and the love of Jesus. 💛

Want to sponsor her? 👉 Visit www.gctlh.org/give, select BGMC in the drop-down, and put her name in the memo box. Thank you for helping them shine the light of Jesus to the world! ✝️

And then we had a great crowd (of almost 50 elementary students, plus like 20-30 from infants through preschool!), and a great morning in GC Kids!

We had a new family come for the first time today, and their youngest was actually one of Addie’s friends, in her same class at NFC, so that worked out great for them to play together, on her friends’ first day!

We took game time outside today with water games, and that was super fun, but still wayyyyy hot for almost October.

And just look at my beautiful, smiley girlies!! We went out to lunch after church, then ran home super fast to let Pennie out for a bit, and gather up a bunch of clothes, and supplies, and birthday things, before heading over to Grammy’s house to celebrate Grammy’s birthday.

We got a few cheap and easy supplies and decorated a little bit, as a little bit of a surprise for her birthday dinner, because tomorrow is her 60th birthday! We decided to do a bit of a Italian theme, so we made an Italian flag using tablecloths, and I actually thought it was pretty cool! We did chicken parm, with spaghetti and garlic bread, and a giant copy-cat Olive Garden salad. And everything was so good, and we had a great night together! We also surprised her by inviting her best friend Jane, and that was fun too!

Everybody always has helpers when it’s time to open gifts, whether they need helpers or not!

Emerson begged to ride her bike again, so we gave in and let her have about 10 minutes after the triplets left, to practice a little bit more, and she did a good job again.

We gave both girls their “sleepy gummies” before we left Grammy & Papa’s house, so by the time we got home, both were exhausted and bedtime went really smooth and easy.
