My sweet girls were happy and excited and ready for Friday!
Jeff picked up Emerson for gymnastics again today. They had lots of extra free-time beforehand, so they stopped by the gas station and got some ice cream bars for a snack.
After we all made it home, we loaded back up in the car and headed out for the “family feast” meal deal at Panda. My book club got rescheduled from tonight to next weekend, and I just wasn’t prepared to cook. This was a great option, especially since I had a coupon in my app for $5 off the $35 family feast meal, and I didn’t have to cook or clean tonight! It was also a lot of food, and we brought home lots of leftovers. Great deal for only $30.
We now travel with this little backpack from Dollar Tree, filled with a few activities to keep the girls busy and entertained at restaurants while waiting for food. And that’s been working out very well for us. And Addie looks so cute carrying it around.
We spent time doing some chores and packing when we got home, and started a load of laundry. We also let the girls stay up later than usual, after all the hoopla, and then finally started bedtime around 9pm.
Tomorrow, we leave for a now-annual Veteran’s Day weekend camping trip, so tonight, we got most of the clothes packed up. Along with a few other little odds and ends. The majority of our packing will be done tomorrow morning though. We’re going to St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, where we can’t “check-in” to the park until 3pm CST, so we can’t even leave here until after lunch time tomorrow.
We definitely have a lot to do tomorrow morning, but I’ve got it all listed out, what to do and what to pack, and most of our camping stuff is already all gathered up in the same spot… I’ll be back with a weekend wrap-up post on Monday night. But pray for our safety, fun & beautiful weather!
