We dropped off only one little girl this morning…
But stopped by for some quick loves from the triplets…
Before taking Addison to the ENT for a consultation about getting tubes in her ears. The appointment went well, and although she was exhausted and fighting sleep the whole time, she did good. And we are definitely going to get tubes put in. It’s not scheduled yet, but they’re supposed to call me sometime next week to get it on the calendar.
We had actually only laid her down her in the giant exam chair to change her diaper, but she was so chill and laid back, we just left her there to hang out for a few minutes.
As always, she fell asleep straight away when we left the hospital, on our way to school.
Addie was only at school for a half day, so we didn’t even get any photos of her, but here are a few the teachers sent of Emerson.
Then after school, they had just warmed up her last bottle, but not given it to her yet, so I fed it to her in the car like this, and she drained the whole thing, and fell asleep before she had even finished it.
I made sauteed chicken with onions, with noodles and broccoli, and it was so good. I love cooking chicken like this, and I love drowning it in onions, so much so that you can barely even see the chicken underneath!
And notice that fourth, tinier plate I made for the first time tonight! Addie is starting to really prefer “big people food” over her little baby food, and she’s been doing so well with it.
We all just hung out and let the girls play together after dinner, and even let Emmie stay up much later than usual, and we just enjoyed spending some time together. Emmie was pretending the girls were all unicorns, and daddy was a dragon, and she was running around trying to get him with her unicorn horn (her hands over her head, with her hands clasped up high and pointer fingers out straight.
This was her ballet performance stage that she set up to perform a little mini-recital.
Addie was struggling not to fall asleep while I was holding her, so we went ahead and gave her a bottle, and once again, she fell asleep before she had even finished it.
Emmie wanted to do her own thing tonight (instead of cuddle times with either mommy or daddy in our bed), so she just grabbed her Kindle and watched an episode of “Fancy Nancy” while Jeff watched YouTube and I read on my own Kindle.
She accidentally hurt herself right before bedtime (by being too crazy and falling down too hard on the wrought-iron part of her bed), but we got her an ice pack, and extra loves and then she was ok. Well, she wanted to keep the ice pack even after we left the room, so I’m sure she’ll wake up later when the coldness of it hits her bare skin after rolling around for a bit, so I’ll probably try to sneak in there soon to grab it.
