Addie is very into the brown bookshelf this week, and also very into throwing peace signs for photos. You’ll see more of that in a few more pictures…
I did a cute little messy bun in Emmie’s hair today, with a color-coordinated scrunchy too, so she wanted me to take a picture of it so she could see it too. I personally love her hair like this!
The Frother’s Daughter truck was parked at my office today like every Thursday during the summer. And today, the sweet barista helped me customize one of their July specials to exactly how I would like it (the “Juno” with extra cream, extra coconut & caramel flavoring), and even remembered my name for the cup 🥹
And here’s what I mean about my little one with her peace signs again…
I added this frozen enchilada meal to my grocery order (as well as a steak & rice bowl), simply because I like having stuff like this on hand for days I don’t have leftovers, plus, I got a bunch of Fetch points in my app. But this was pleasantly much better than I even expected. So good! Next time, I just need to bring a little side of rice to go with it, and it’ll be a great work lunch.
My June reading wrap-up was stacked with seven really great books (four-or-five-star ratings), and two more just okay books (three-star-ratings).
And I finished up another audio book today too, which was super good, another five-star read, from one of my tried and true authors that I will always read.
Tonight was another night back at the gymnastics gym, and as soon as we got there, I was pulling out my new book to get started on. This “new” prequel in the Hunger Games series came out a few months back, and I had pre-ordered it so it was delivered on publication day, but I had too many other books at the time and never got around to it. I’ve heard it’s amazing though, so I’m super excited to finally get into it.
And after Jeff picked up Addie from school, she asked to come by the gym to say hi to me and watch her sister for a few minutes, before they headed home to prep dinner.
A few weeks ago, I made crockpot salsa chicken, and we had a ton leftover that I froze. So we just had to defrost and microwave that tonight, and Jeff made a fresh pot of rice, and we had burrito bowls for dinner. And obviously I put a ton of fresh green onions on mine.
Emerson was super sleepy and very much ready for bed, and Addison wanted to read this tiny Clifford book. So she flipped through it once herself, and then I read it to her. Then I put Emmie to sleep in her bed, and Jeff got Addie to sleep as well.
The kitchen is currently a disaster zone, so I need to go clean up in there and wash up some dishes, before I settle down to relax. Jeff isn’t feeling great though, so he’s already asleep, so after some clean-up, I’m gonna grab myself a little sweet treat from the pantry, and find something to watch on tv before my own bedtime.
