Today was an especially hectic morning before church, but we had a great morning at church anyways. We went out for Mexican with the family after church…
And Baby Sister slept through the entire thing.
During lunch, Emmie asked if she could go home with Grammy, but Papa stayed home sick this morning, so it might not be a good idea for her to go home and be around him. So instead, she invited herself over to Aunt Suzanne & Uncle Keith’s house. But they already had plans to go to the FSU baseball game, so they offered to take her with them, and I agreed to that plan! We moved her car seat out of Grammy’s Jeep Wrangler and into their Jeep Cherokee, and Emmie thought that was cool, and she was pumped!
So while I chose to go home and take a nap (instead of cleaning our clearly messy/cluttered house)…
Emmie was having a great afternoon at her very first ever sporting event! She’s never been to any sort of game before, but it looks like her first one was a great one! Perfect weather, multiple snacks, and a mini-tour of the campus afterwards.
Addison didn’t really wanna nap at home this afternoon, and since I had fallen asleep on the couch in the living room, Jeff took her to play in the play pen back in her room for a while, and then they went to pick up our weekly Walmart grocery order.
I woke up when they got home, and put the groceries away and cleaned up the house a little, and let Addie just jump herself into a little frenzy here in her bouncy seat that she loves so much.
After the baseball game, Emerson also had to go back to their house to play more and see their doggy Bella, but they finally brought her back to our house around 5:45pm, once she was ready to come home to see her parents again 😉
I always want Mexican, and Jeff always wants Asian, and today we compromised and had one for lunch and one for dinner. This place close to our house isn’t necessarily new (I don’t think?), but we’d never been there before, so we decided to try it out tonight. We got lots of things to all share together, and it turned out really good actually.
It ended up taking a while for dinner to get ready, so by the time we finished, it was almost bedtime already, so we got right into the bedtime routine. This is Emmie doing the ROAR like dinosaurs do in her bedtime book 🙂
Emmie skipped a nap today while she was off galivanting around town, and we were worried she would be a crazy grumpus monster tonight, but she actually did pretty good, and even fell asleep with Jeff still in her room, her head on his arm, after just a few minutes of him sitting by her, which never happens.
Addie girl fell asleep very easily after her bottle as well, and I held her long enough to get some good cuddles, and then took her back to her room for bedtime too.
I’m finishing up the season finale of another season of Survivor now (yes, I’m definitely back on my Survivor kick), and there’s about 20 minutes left until we find out who won “Survivor: China!”
