Emerson’s First Day of 3rd Grade!

This morning we did the girls’ sister pics at NFC, for Addie’s second day of VPK there.

We also had a little tiny photo shoot there too, for Emerson’s first day of 3rd grade at Gilchrist! She picked out her “third grade” shirt a couple of weeks ago, and then coincidentally her and Nana found this cute strawberry skirt on super clearance from Kohl’s just this past weekend, that just matches so perfectly! She told me how she wanted her hair done, and she was “berry” excited to get back to school for a new year! 🍓🏫👩🏼‍🏫♥️🐻

 

 

As we dropped her off from the car line, she just hopped right out, and started running in. Jeff was trying to take a picture from the front passenger window, and the teacher nearest her had to call her name to turn around for us, because girlfriend was just on a mission to get going into school!

And her teacher took a couple of cute photos to send to us today too!

And she was still looking so sweet and cute when we got back to pick her up!

And Addison told us she had another great day at school too!

We hadn’t had taquitos for dinner in a long time, and everyone was excited to eat them tonight. Emerson literally cheered, and Jeff was glad for some “comfort food” tonight, after we actually had a bit of a rough day. (Everything’s fine, but I’m just not gonna go into details about it. But sometimes, being an adult is just hard and it sucks and people suck sometimes too…)

Emerson ate like 4 or 5 taquitos tonight. Girlfriend is eating so much lately, I think she’s going through a little growth spurt or something. We finished watching “Atlantis,” which we started one night last week, and then got started on bedtime. Emmie was asleep in no time flat, but Addie was a little wound up and it took longer for Jeff to get her down to sleep. She slept in her bed until about midnight last night, and then ended up in our bed between us. Tonight, Jeff let her fall asleep in our bed, and then carried her to her bed. So we’ll see how night number two of “big girl bed boot camp” goes…
