Cute little nugget always loves her pockets!

When I told her the sign said they were banana muffins, she said, “Mm I like that.”

I actually stayed at work today on my lunch break, and had sloppy joe leftovers from Monday nights’ dinner. I wanted to watch “This Is Us” on Hulu, but it wasn’t working, so I watched “FRIENDS” on Netflix instead, and laughed out loud at a couple parts. And that got me thinking that even though I’ve seen the entire series multiple times, I still find it so funny!

Grammy picked up Emerson from school for our normal Wednesday-routine, and we met at Chick-fil-A for dinner before church. And of course she wanted her usual “chicken & cheese noodles,” so that’s what she got!

I almost always get the spicy sandwich & fries, but today I branched out to get the original sandwich & soup, and it was so good! (We also saw like a thousand other people we knew there tonight – Hi, Holly & Brian! Plus Justin, Andra Kay, Pam & Stevenson, Trenton, and I feel like there were two or three more I’m forgetting…)

Emmie came into big church with Grammy and I for a little bit, so she could see the big Christmas tree in the sanctuary.

Tonight was actually the dress rehearsal for the Singing Christmas Tree, which is this upcoming weekend! (Performances are Friday at 7pm, Saturday & Sunday at 4pm, and tickets can be printed from our website here for free, or you can just show up & we’ll let you in!) We had a quick ensemble rehearsal first at 6:15 (in our fancy clothes and all), and worked on a couple of tricky spots that needed a little extra attention. And for our final run through of the ensemble song, we nailed it. (Thanks, Kimberly, for the ensemble photo!)

And then dress rehearsal with the entire choir at 7pm. This also gave us ensemble members a chance to practice changing from our nicer clothes into our “tree clothes” in the 2 minutes between the end of our song & when we have to climb on the tree. It’s chaos, but it’s fun! However, once again I didn’t get up on the tree tonight, but left early so that I could get Emmie home at a decent time. But I did bring her back into the sanctuary to watch a few songs, and it looked beautiful and we sound great! I got a little emotional watching actually, because it sounds so good, and I’m just so proud of us!

She loved watching it so much, and even though we were only going to stay for one song, we ended up staying for three, because Emmie didn’t want to leave!

She was upset when we had to leave, but by the time we made it to the car, she had calmed down and was fine. She chose to ride home with Daddy, so I got to listen to my audio book again on the drive home.

We did both of our advent calendars once we got home, before getting her ready for bedtime.

She specifically asked me for bedtime lotion like Aunt Meggie puts on the babies, which is what we usually talk about because Megan is so vigilant about putting lotion on the triplets every night 😉

We did one night-night video, one hungry caterpillar book, and then lots of bear hugs and bear kisses, before finally settling down for night-night lullabies.

Now it’s time for my typical night-time routine of hot tea and Netflix. And it’s getting super cold tonight, so I gotta go get my super warm, plush robe to wrap up in, and cozy up for a bit before bedtime.
