Double Mirabel

I had fun working in GC Kids this morning with Meg, as a bunch of our normal staff & volunteers were on a mission trip in Kenya right now. And since Emerson’s birthday is this week, she got to wear a fun birthday sticker for church today, which made her feel special!

And I’m loving this cute little headband that Addie picked out to wear today, along with her favorite light-up sneakers.

I’ve been craving a good ole cheese steak for a couple of weeks now, so we went to Charley’s for lunch after church. Emerson loves their chicken Philly, and Jeff and I love their Old School Philly, with just meat, cheese & grilled onions. (It was very good, but nothing will ever scratch the itch of my old favorite Philly Connection. Do y’all remember that place?! I miss it all the time!)

The girls and I all laid down together to nap after church and lunch, and we had a nice cozy little nap for a couple of hours.

We did a quick dinner at Whataburger when we all woke up, and then ran to Jeff’s parents’ house for just an hour or so, for him to fix one more thing on the kitchen lights he installed for them last week. Oh, and the girls were both dressed like double Mirabel (from Encanto) the whole night 😉

When we got back home, we finally planted my little tomato plant that we got last week, that’s just been begging to be remembered. Jeff did water it a few times this past week out in the carport, but it needed a bigger pot, and fresh potting soil, and lots more water. And now it’s happy and hopefully it can thrive, if we’re lucky…

Baby sister Mirabel is still wearing her little dress to sleep tonight, but Big sister Mirabel got changed into her nightgown and we started getting them ready for bedtime.
