Dino Burrito

While I was getting ready for work this morning, Daddy got Emerson all fixed up with a bowl of “cunch cunch” for breakfast.

And then I was all dressed and ready, and realized I didn’t actually need to leave for work for another 30 minutes. I was still on schedule from when I had to leave to take her to daycare first. So I took the time to make myself a bagel with a fried egg and provolone cheese. And man that thing was delish. (And you know I had to share a few bites with Emerson too, of course.)

Emmie was being really clingy first thing this morning, and wouldn’t really let go of Jeff, even after Nana got there. So Nana suggested going back to her house for the day, and Emmie immediately went off to pack up her backpack so they could head out! And they had a great day at Nana’s house today!

She wanted her lunchable for her mid-morning snack…

A friend of Nita’s gave her a new, hand-me-down play kitchen, and Emerson was super excited to check it all out and start playing with it. Apparently she played with it for hours, and made all sorts of meals and took restaurant to-go orders. And she even made a picnic lunch for Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Bo & Aunt Meggie!

And since she ate her lunchable for brunch, she had the rest of her McGriddle for lunch. Can you tell the girl loves a McGriddle? But I mean hey, if anyone can afford to eat multiple McGriddle’s a week, it’s that tiny girl!

I took my own lunch back outside again with my Kindle (and my own grown-up lunchable), and had a little video call lunch date with Emmie while we both ate.

Emmie slept in the big girl bed next to Nana, for an hour and a half today. And then she was ready to get back outside and explore some more. They even found a turtle!

Nana met me in the parking lot of my office after work, to do the Emmie-trade-off. While we were getting all the stuff out of the car, Aunt Suzanne also walked out (we work at the same State department), and that was a nice surprise for both Emmie & Aunt Suzanne to get to see each other for a little bit.

I made a super easy dinner of meatball subs and tater tots, and it was so simple but so yummy. Looking forward to having another sub for lunch in the next few days!

Emmie’s been so good and cute and saying our dinner prayers every night, and it’s absolutely precious. Emmie didn’t want her meatballs as a sub, and she didn’t want the marinara sauce on hers, but she ate every bite of her meatballs!

Little Bit had a bath tonight, with her orange bath bomb, and she found an orange pterodactyl inside of it, and then Daddy wrapped her up in her dinosaur towel, and made her into a dino burrito!

Her burrito towel was wrapped up so tight, she couldn’t even roll herself out of it. We had to unravel the towel for her!

She assigned Jeff and I each our bedtime books (that’s her newest thing, picking out two books and assigning who reads what), and I got to read the Star Wars one this time.

Sweet girl did great at bedtime. She was so sweet and loving, and told me she loved me multiple times. I felt like saying “I love you too baby” didn’t even begin to convey the depth of my feelings for her, but I told her over & over that I loved her too, and I hope she knows how much that’s true.
