Dinnertime Dancing

Last night, Addison had a very rough night sleeping, which meant I also had a really rough night, and didn’t get to sleep until 2:30am. Then, unfortunately, I woke up super early this morning with a terrible headache. So I took some meds and went back to sleep. Jeff got up around 8am with the girls, and let me sleep until 10am. He checked on me then, and my headache was worse, and had moved to a migraine, so he gave me half of one of his migraine pills and I went back to sleep again until noon. And then finally I woke up feeling better. Jeff had already picked up our groceries, and put them all away, and then he went out to run some errands. The girls and I had lunch, and I got Addie down for her nap. Then Emmie and I cleaned up the living room and dining room, and then sat down to read together.

Once Jeff got back home, he stayed home since Addison was still asleep, and Emmie and I made the fastest run ever to the library to pick up some books I had on hold. We pulled up to the front door at 3:59pm, parked in a no-parking zone, clicked the flashing hazard lights on, and ran inside one whole minute before they closed at 4pm. Emerson Put our bag of return books in the return slot while I grabbed my hold books & used the self-check-out kiosk. Then we treated ourselves to afternoon drinks (cinnamon roll iced latte for me, peach fizz soda for Emmie, and strawberry-peach energy drink for Jeff), to congratulate ourselves on our speedy library visit.

Jeff was working in the carport when we got back, and Addie was outside in her nightgown and little sandals. He got cleaned up and showered, and I got Addie dressed, and then we went out to dinner at Pepper’s. We need some outside time, and I needed not to cook, and we all needed chips & salsa & queso.

After the girls finished eating, they got up and hung out next the table, just kinda chillin and hangin out, and that eventually turned into dinnertime dancing and it was so precious and funny, watching them dance together.

The girls had a super fast bath when we got home, and then while they watched Bluey with Daddy, I also hopped in the shower tonight. I almost never shower at night, but I was feeling yucky and smelling like Mexican food, and I just needed to get clean. Emerson fell asleep super quick and easy tonight, but Addison wanted a couple of extra videos with Daddy to help her calm down. Gonna re-do my nails real quick now, and then head to bed soon….
