Addison was dressed in her “baby soup” and ready for another fun water Friday at daycare, and Emerson was just excited about another day of summer camp!
I shared my May reading wrap-up today on my social stories. It wasn’t an overly big reading month, but four of the seven were either 4-or-5-star ratings for me, so that’s a pretty good ratio.
Jeff picked up Addison from school today, and she gave him some special art work she made for Father’s Day. So sweet!
We went over to Jeff’s parents’ house tonight, partly as a Father’s Day celebration meal, and partly so Jeff could help replace the light fixtures in their two bathrooms. We had some time to chill, and some time to eat a yummy dinner, and some time to play with bubbles.
And this little baby sister really tore up that corn on the cob tonight! She was a little worried about it at first, saying, “It’s squirting it’s juice at me!” But once we hyped up how good the sweet corn juice was, she really got after it, and ate the whole thing!
But my poor little brace face had to have her corn cut off the cob, since she can’t bite into it. But she ate her whole giant pile of buttered corn, and then asked for more, and ate another big pile, probably half of another cob!
Emmie made herself a little nest of pillows, stuffies, and blankets, and kept forcing their little elderly Yorkie, Noel, to lay down there with her.
We got home around 8:30, and then left back out not too long after that, for Emmie and I to go pick up our late-night grocery pick-up at Walmart. Jeff got Addie settled down while we were gone, and started on her bedtime. Emmie and I got all the cold stuff put away, and then I got her to sleep as well. I’m going to go make up a big bowl of cowboy caviar now, to take to my mom’s house tomorrow, for our family pool party / fish fry / father’s day lunch!
