This little girl is cute every single minute of the day, but this morning, in this corduroy skirt, with her little bangs swept up in a hair clip, I couldn’t even handle the cuteness!!
Jeff said she looks like she’s ready to go off to kindergarten with her little backpack on, and I told him he’s not even supposed to think that stuff, let alone say it out loud to me! haha 😉
After getting back home from drop-off, I whipped up a little breakfast I copy-catted from a lady I follow on Instagram – rice cakes with fruit and spreads and whipped cream, and it was really good! My fave was the chocolate-y, peanut butter & banana one. Definitely going to be eating this for a few days in a row.
Also, look how pretty the new paint and new handle is in the morning sunlight! It’s kind of hard to get a photo that I feel best shows the true colors, but I guess this is kind of close. Either way, it’s so pretty!
So Jeff had to go back to his office today, to help one of his users get set up on a new laptop, so he was away from the house most of the day. I thought about still going for my walk, but when I couldn’t find any clean socks, I kind of just gave up. Instead, I painted these two tiny cabinet doors and put the second coat on my spice rack, so now we’re all done with the blue paint. I then heated up a tiny chicken pot pie and watched “This Is Us,” and I really enjoyed my quiet, chill lunch break.
Sweet Emmie-girl had a good day at school, and went poop & pee in the toilet multiple times. (I mention that, because not only does she still refuse to go in the toilet at home, but she also had another accident at Grammy’s house last night.)
Jeff picked up Emerson today before heading home from his office, so I had a few minutes to myself after signing out at 5pm before they got home. We had chicken & mashed potatoes & corn for dinner, and Nana & PopPop stopped by for a few minutes to see our kitchen cabinet progress. They also brought us a few cupcakes, and Miss Priss was more than happy to lick off all the icing from one of them. 🙂
We played outside for a long time after dinner, just running around in the grass and playing and having fun. She is just the happiest little girl, and I love watching her run around laughing and giggling and enjoying life. She is just so stinking precious!
We did our little stunt sitting on the ground, and then Daddy had to get involved and show-off, doing stunts standing up and holding her up wayyyy higher in the air!
Baby girl told me she wanted to brush her teeth with her new toothbrush while sitting on the toilet. I thought maybe that would somehow be the trick and she we go pee, but nope… She brushed her teeth really well, but did not pee in the potty.
We did some snuggling on the couch after getting her nightgown on, in order to cool down before bedtime. She was super sweet all cuddled up next to me, holding my arm, and watching her little videos. Then when it was time to head back to her room, she marched off down the hallway like a good little girl. She told me she wanted to do this activity book when she was big girl, and then read this tiny little book to her Primrose doggie. (Our first dog was a doxie/beagle mix named Primrose, that looked like this stuffed dog.)
While reading a book to her and doing prayers and lullabies, I kept yawning over and over again, and was just soooo tired. She went down for bedtime easily, and I was very grateful for that. I feel like I’ve barely stayed awake to write this post though. I’m not going to try to paint anything tonight, but try to just get some rest instead, because apparently I’m exhausted!
