It was a very rain, thunderstorm-y morning today, but we still had a nice easy morning, and got both girls to school on time!

After school, Grammy actually picked up both girls, and took care of them for the evening. They had take-out Chinese food for dinner, and got to play outside and hang out with them for a couple of hours.
I took myself back to Barrio Burrito Bar for a slightly varied repeat of the lunch I got two days ago. And it was just as delicious. I also signed up for the app and got free chips & queso, so obviously I’ll have to go back again soon. I’ll take jeff and the girls too though, because they have super cheap kids meals.

I ran home to let Pennie out and feed her dinner, and tried to pack a few things for myself. And then it was time for book club! There is a group of 11 of us from church and tonight was our first meeting. Natasha hosted and provided snacks, including these Mexican pastries that were very on theme with the book about a Mexican mother and her son fleeing from the head of a cartel all they way from Acapulco to Denver. The book was very intense and also very good, and provided for a lot of great conversations. And even though it was rife with trauma and drama, we also had so much fun and so many great laughs together tonight! Can’t wait for our next meeting in April!

I picked up the girls and the fell asleep on the drive home, where they immediately went to sleep again. I’ve got some packing I need to take care of tonight, so it’ll probably be a late night for me trying to get as much done as possible tonight, because we leave for Orlando tomorrow afternoon!
In fact, I probably won’t blog again for a few days, because it doesn’t always work well from my phone trying to add so many photos in the app. I always blog from our home computer, where I have a whole process and program to export the photos so that they’re smaller and optimized for the web, and without that, the phone app just doesn’t support so many giant photos, and definitely no videos! So anyways, Nita and I are taking the girls tomorrow afternoon, and then we’re doing three parks in three days, and we’ll be back home Tuesday! Jeff is still in Moldova until Monday, so keep us ALL in your thoughts and prayers with all the work and flights and driving and crowds and travel and just all the things! See y’all next week! 🙂
