Citrus & Candy

Today was a super low-key, normal day. I only have a handful of photos and not much to share, so we’ll just keep this short & sweet today.

Emmie was super sweet and excited to wear her backpack to school, and we had a great drop-off!

She was also being a baby dinosaur in the car and all through drop-off, squealing and roaring, and being so silly.

My co-workers had brought in some more satsumas, plus plenty of leftover Halloween candy. So I figured I’d have some of both, to help keep things balanced. 😉

Emmie had a good day at school, and although we didn’t get any pictures from her teachers today, she did sleep for almost two full hours, so that was incredible for her!

I picked her up after school and work, and brought both her and I a small piece of candy. I gave her her first Crunch bar, and she liked it. She asked, “Could you bring me one again tomorrow, but, a longer one?” 😆

Our poor little Pretzel boy hasn’t been feeling good this weekend, so Jeff took him to the vet today. Turns out he needs a(nother) tooth pulled, but they couldn’t do it today. Jeff will take him back for that procedure tomorrow. So tonight, we made sure to give him lots of very gentle loves, and take good care of him.

I made homemade pizza and used a bagged Caesar salad kit, and we had a delicious dinner. Emerson opted for “cheese noodles,” but she ate really well!

We did a video call after dinner with Grammy, Papa and Grandmommie, and Emmie was telling them all sorts of stuff. Grammy asked what we were gonna do next, and Emmie said get a bath. I said, “I don’t think you need one tonight, you had one last night.” And she said, “Yes I do, my ribs got sweaty today… Here, feel!” This girl is too much 🤣

Emersln and I both out our jammies on, and then cuddled up couch with Daddy and blankets and Pretzels and robes. She grabbed a snack, and we watched a little bit of “Coco” before getting her ready for bed.

She did good at bedtime, and we got her in bed easily, if not a little bit late. Since it started cooking down, we switched from a thin, muslin blanket, to a soft, warmer one, and she was sjker exited about how cozy it was.

The only dirty dishes from tonight were one skillet and three forks, so that stuff can patiently wait in the sink until I’m ready to do it, tomorrow! I’ve been bundled up in my blankets on the couch watching an episode of one calls the Heart while blogging, and Jeff’s on the computer in the front room, but I think now we’ll get started on the next movie in the lineup of the marvel series, whichever one that is…
