As always, today has been a great, but very long, tiring day. And since it’s almost 10pm already, I’m going to try to not “talk” quite as much, and just dump a TON of photos instead, and let them speak for themselves. Between all the family, we took over 150+ photos, and I’ve narrowed it down to less than 70, so I did what I could 🙂
We had our Christmas with our tiny 3-fam early this morning, which was quiet and intimate and very special. We then picked up my step-brother and went over to my parents’ house to meet up with the rest of the family, where we stayed the whole day.
Don’t be alarmed – that’s the tv, not a real fire, but they were still warming up in front of it anyways 😉
My VERY FAVORITE – Christmas pie. Grandmommie makes this every year, and I love it so much!
Present-opening was chaotic and loud beyond belief, and there were plenty of cries and whines, even in the midst of all the gifts, but it was so much fun!
The triplets’ special gift this year was a fun little “walkman” for each of them, and Emmie got a little girl camera!
Jeff was very proud of this labeling job he did for Meg & Bo 🙂
This beautiful painting Meg got for Mama made her cry; it was so sweet.
This was a tee ball set for the baby girls, and Bo literally cheered when he opened it, he was so excited about it for his girls. (He played baseball in middle & high school.)
Grammy set up a yummy hot chocolate station to be accessed whenever the feeling hit, or you just needed some warmth.
Appetizers before lunch…
And saying the blessing for lunch.
Meg & Bo took the littlest girls home to nap in their cribs, and Emmie and I laid down to nap together in Grandmommie’s bed. We slept for about an hour and a half or so, then had some quiet play time before the triplets came back over again. I put myself in charge of afternoon appetizers and made hot crab & cheese dip, (store-bought) spinach artichoke dip & some gifted homemade raspberry pepper jelly over cream cheese. Everything was delish! While the baby girls all had hot dogs & such, the adults all ended up getting full from the big lunch and the snacks, and kind of skipped dinner, and just played instead.
We had such a good day, and it was nice to spend the whole day with family. Jeff’s parents are in Nashville with his older brother this week, so once Ryan & Gabe are here in a few days, and Dave & Nita are back in town, we’ll have another Christmas with the Pullen family.
