Choir & Calendars

This cute little girl was happy this morning, with her adorable romper & her blueberry muffin. And even though she’s only worn this romper three or four times, she’s about to outgrow it already! She may not be gaining much weight or getting much “bigger,” but she’s certainly growing taller, and this outfit is almost too short for her now. We may pass it down to the triplets, and see if they can wear it a time or two before they outgrow it, but in different ways 😉

Leftover pizza from last night for lunch today, and more of “Little Women.” I’ve read about 30% now, so I’d say that’s mostly decent progress for such a large book, with old-fashioned writing that’s not as easy/quick to read.

Happy girl in her photo from school today!

Can you even believe these once-preemie triplets are now chunky 10-month-olds?! I can’t stand how cute & squishy they are! Clearly, they are sugar, spice & everything nice!

It has been almost a month since we’ve had a “regular” Wednesday night schedule – we had the week off after the Singing Christmas Tree, then it was Christmas day, and then New Year’s day, and now we’re finally back on track for the first time in weeks! Grammy picked up Emerson from school, and we all met up for our usual family dinner before church.

She specifically asked Uncle Keith to take her on the playground, and they had fun together for a while, then I went in to take some photos too.

This adorable bag was part of a gift from one of her sweet friends at school. Apparently all the kids in her class got a gift bag of treats. The little boy is from Kuwait, and brought gifts back for everyone after his Christmas visit! I was so shocked & impressed!

And then we parted ways to go to nursery, choir, and prayer meeting…

Emmie was very upset at the end of church to learn that Grammy had already gone home, and she couldn’t get one more hug. It took her most of the way home (including a stop for gas & air in the tires), before she finally calmed down a little. I promised her we’d see Grammy again in a few days, and I’m sure she’ll hold me to it. So Grammy, looks like we’ll be coming back over this weekend! 🙂

She was fine once we got home though, and was even silly and goofy and of course trying to stall bedtime as long as possible. Even if she may have been trying to stay up longer, she was still being adorable and sweet, and just look at that silly, squinty-eyed face. (Also, check out my new PJ set!)

I did get her down to sleep relatively easily, once we finally settled in for lullabies and snuggles. OK so this yellow bag is the one from her friend at school, and the shirt and little dry-erase marker board were also a part of her gift with her back pack. (child’s name blurred in photo.)

We also got our new Shutterfly calendars in the mail today, and I’m in love with it! I ordered one on my account, plus the cute planning stickers, to put on the fridge at home. And then I had hopped on Jeff’s account to order an extra one (I had free codes but could only use one per account), so he could take one to his office. (In the back left, you’ll see my little Dollar Tree calendar I got in my stocking that I keep forgetting to take to work. So finally on the 9th day of the month, I’ll take it in to hang up tomorrow.)

We finished “The Mandalorian” last night, and of course loved it. And obviously we both adored the tiny baby Yoda creature. And now, we’re back on the hunt for a new TV series to watch. We have pretty much all the streaming services (just not cable), so tell us some good things y’all love!
