Chicken Fajitas & Pumpkin Cookies

Little Miss wanted a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, and she wanted to eat it straight out of the lunch box.

She’s still loving that slime, and I’m just about done with it… I alllllllmost “lost” it tonight, but decided to give it another week or so before it get’s lost 😉

Turkey sandwich, fruit roll-up and blue punch for lunch, and then I got to put her down for nap time on my own lunch break. She was super sweet and cuddly, and went down without a fight.

After nap time, she got to play on her Kindle, and then had a pedicure, and “made a few phone calls to Grammy.” It rained almost the whole day, so they were stuck inside all day, but luckily we have plenty of things to keep her busy indoors.

We’ve been home for eight days now, but I just now got around to unpacking a lot of the gifts she was given. We needed a new spot for all of the things, so I found this empty bin we already had, and made it the “activity bin,” full of coloring books, crayons, stickers, and little craft projects. I also reorganized the books, but we had so many, we had to just create an extra stash on the floor between the night stand and the toy chest. I also tidied up the rest of her room, because wow that place was an absolute mess!

We also read a couple of books together (a few real books and a couple of kids Kindle books), and then some of our church-friends dropped off a super delicious dinner. Thank you to Kathryn (and Molly!) for the yummy oven chicken fajitas, and all the fixin’s to go with it!

Ooh they also gave us a box of Pumpkin Joe-Joe’s, which were the perfect little dessert after our meal. We loved it all so much!

And look how much nicer Emmie’s room looks!

The pink bin is the “activity bin,” with a few extras that don’t fit on the side, then she has a bin full of books here…

Alllll the books on, in the open part, and behind the closed door of the cabinet, and the new stash on the floor now too. (Plus a basket in the living room full of books as well.) We’ve got a full-blown kids library over here!

We changed her chest bandages tonight, and she did really well, so we read three bedtime books instead of only two. This one was the Wonky Donkey, which was the first time we read it, and it was so silly! Thank you to Greg, Abby & kids for the silly book for our silly girl! (we were given so many books, and were discharged from the hospital so quickly, we still haven’t gotten a chance to get around to everything!)

And this cute Snuggle Bunny books was one of the ones from Mommy & Daddy (as well as the one we were reading in the photos above from after work today), and it was super cute.

Even though she wasn’t tired and didn’t want to go to sleep, she went down for me really easily tonight, and didn’t make a peep once I left her room. I washed up all the dishes from the last couple of days, and got the kitchen cleaned up. My mulled cider candle has been burning for a while now, so the house smells amazing, and it’s time to cuddle up my hubby for movie rest time!
