Cheese Tax

You can’t quite tell with their new jackets, but the girls are wearing their matching Moana sister shirts together today.

Aunt Meggie and Uncle Bo led NFC chapel this morning with some of their GC Kids student leaders, and Addie always loves that special day!

On the way to church tonight, the sun was super bright in Addie’s face. Normally she would have a little fit about it, and I always have to say, “Just close your eyes, I can’t control the sun!” But today, she was very dramatically squeezing her eyes shut tight, grimacing and just being so extra. And she announced, “Mommy I’m closing my eyes in the bright sunshine!” And so I told her I was so proud of her!

After church, we had a bit of a rough evening getting home and getting ourselves ready for bed. But we got ourselves all under control, the girls both grabbed a string cheese, and we sat down together to watch one episode of Bluey. I thought Pennie was just so cute with her head resting on the pillow, hoping and praying for some cheese! (Which we did of course share with her. Always gotta pay the cheese tax to the doggie!) Ah! And I actually just noticed her little tongue sticking out too, haha 🤣

We read just a couple of pages in Harry Potter tonight since it was so late, but we’re still making slow progress.

My day at work today was long and arduous, working on compiling the third quarter stats for our entire unit. Then we had a busy night rushing to church, with Jeff and I both serving on the worship/tech teams. Then we had a crazy night with all the post-church/bedtime hoopla. All that to say, I’m exhausted and in need of some peace and quiet and rest…
