Jeff took both girlies to the gas station this morning before school, and I guess they got some breakfast snacks.
I love this photo of them holding hands through the parking lot 🙂
So every Wednesday at NFC, all of preschool & elementary attend a chapel service in the church sanctuary. And all the kids wear the same chapel shirt every Wednesday. Each kids gets one free shirt, and they got to pick their own color (red, black or blue), and it’s a big deal. The shirts finally came home last night, and all the kiddos were so excited to wear them today! Unfortunately, the smallest size they have is a Youth Small, which definitely swallows our tiny Addie Pie! We put a pony tail on the side of the shirt, and she just thought that was the cutest thing, and it really was actually!
In honor of the 🫶🏼 5th anniversary 🫶🏼 of Emerson’s open-heart surgery 💖, we donated our biggest haul yet of can tabs to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville this past weekend! We estimate it’s roughly 40+ gallons (although they actually measure in weight), which is way more than double our last donation.💗 Thank you to family and friends that collect these with us. 💕 They receive enough funds from recycling these tabs to pay for the utilities at their massive center all year! Forever grateful for Emmie’s healthy heart from successful surgery, and our time at RMHC Jax! 💜🩷
Today, I made this little collage of our can tab donations through the years. Partly because we put these pictures on the collection containers for our church, friends, & families, and also because Emerson wanted to share about this for a school project she’s working on this week. So I sent a few copies to print at Walgreens, and picked them up after work. I just so happened to also find myself a little treat while I was at the checkout counter, that I just couldn’t pass up.
Emerson was the only one of us that had to be at church early tonight, the the kickoff night of the kids Christmas choir/musical with GC Kids! So Jeff got her some dinner and dropped her off, and then we went to dinner with Addie, before heading to church as well.
Her shirt was so cute and tied up this morning, with little cuffs in her sleeves, but by 7pm tonight, it was basically a chapel dress!
Even after a late night at church tonight, both girls were in sweet, happy moods, and bedtime actually went really smooth and easy luckily.
I’m gonna go snack on a few pieces of that chocolate now, but I’m gonna take it slow and savor it. (And I’m also gonna hide it so I don’t have to share, because pistachio is my favorite, but it was also pricey! Yikes!)
