Today was pajama day for Addison, and always pizza party at lunch. And she once again chose to go with the socks & sandals look with her nightgown, and you know I wasn’t fighting that battle!

On our way home from work and school, we found three new Little Free Library’s we hadn’t visited before. This first one is at the pumpkin church on the corner of John Knox & Meridian, and it was so cute with the little steeple and stained glass.

LFL #2 was cute with it’s little polka dots, and this library was a jackpot for Emerson. We found her like four little books from this one. Two of the four books are part of series’ she’s working to collect too, so that was perfect.

And then we found this third one, that appears to have been built in just the last few weeks, as all the dirt around it was recently dug out and moved around. (Plus, I remember coming to this house before, when they had a tiny LFL that held only like eight books. That one is still there, but they have dog treats and dog toys in it now!) And this one is just so cute, especially with the little attic door on top, which had bookmarks and bookish stickers up there.

We had kind of a “figure it out” for dinner situation tonight, but I found chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for the girls, and I made myself a chicken parm cottage cheese bowl, and Jeff skipped dinner because he had a big, late lunch. So that was easy and everything worked out good.

I decided I wanted to start keeping track of the books I own, so I’m testing out some options. Like yesterday, I started a Google Sheets doc listing them all out and putting them in alphabetical order by author’s last name. And that was good, but everything has to be entered manually. So I mentioned that to my techy-IT hubby, and he was like, “Obviously there’s apps that will do that for you.”
So he found me a few to test out, and I sat in the floor scanning the ISBN on 90+ books (just from this top shelf!), adding to my digital shelf. And then it tells me that it’s only free up to 100 books. So I downloaded a second one that I’m gonna test out, but first I’m gonna export the list from the first app, and hopefully add it to the second app, without having to re-scan all those books again. Anyways, I’ll well on my way to owning my own personal library, I just wanted a way to track so I don’t buy duplicates!

Here’s a screenshot of the first app, how it shows them all in a grid in alphabetical order by title. I like it, I just wish it was free!

We let the girls stay up late for Friday night, reading and watching tv, so it was sometime between 9-9:30 before both of them were finally asleep. But they were sweet and easy to get to sleep, so it all worked out great. And once again, off to wash some dishes for a few minutes, and then settle down for the night.
