Baby Nugget was excited to head back to school today, excited to wear a romper, and excited because her twins were already at school before us today!
She was pointing at Miss Julia, excited to see her first thing in the morning.
When I picked her up after school today, she told me all about the orange pumpkin that each of them got to make today. And it looks like she had a good day!
For dinner tonight, I made burger patties using ground chicken, and cooked them on my Cuisinart grill pan. I made some caramelized onions to top them with, and added this new mustard I found, with some mayo, and these were so delicious!
Now that both tents were completely dry after sitting out in the carport all day, we broke them down and rolled them up and laid them flat for the night. We were feeling a little too tired and lazy so we didn’t officially pack them, but we’ll stuff them all up in the bags tomorrow, and then get everything back out in the shed, probably by the weekend. (As we were putting them up yesterday, I said to Jeff, “What do you think people driving by think when they see these tents in the carport? That were just some crazy people?!” So, what would you think if you saw tents set up in a carport?!)
We had a little bit of snuggle and TV time on the couch before bedtime, and then got Emerson and her jammies and started on the bedtime routine. She picked a book to read with Daddy, and ate a Nutri-Grain bar as a bedtime snack.
She was being so goofy and silly and playing with us so sweetly, and goofing off with this big giant dinosaur from Grammy and Papa.
We were back to the whole, “I’m not tired and I don’t want to sleep,” routine again tonight, but after a little bit of whining on her part, and a little bit of convincing on my part, I got her to settle down and quiet down and eventually she fell asleep.
I washed up a bunch of dishes while Jeff did some computer work, and now I’m watching Netflix while I blog and he keeps working. I stayed up a little too late on accident last night, and I definitely will make that mistake again tonight. I was exhausted all day today, and I definitely need more sleep tonight!
