(Post for Friday, 11/15/24.)
The girls loved having donuts for breakfast that Daddy brought home from work the day before from their Thanksgiving lunch.
Our work unit went out to lunch yesterday, for what one of my employees named the “Odd Month Lunch Bunch,” since we go out together every other month, which are usually all the odd months of the year. And now, for the first time since, January 2023, our 8-person unit is finally fully-staffed again! We got a new supervisor last month (I’m the “mini manager” as my Chief calls my position), and it was her turn to pick the spot, and she chose Midtown Caboose. I got the Mac Daddy, with mac & cheese, bacon, a few fried pickles, & bbq sauce, and it was sooo good.
Addie has been working hard to learn the letter “N” this week.
I got off work early to pick up Emerson from school, to take her to gymnastics. I still had some money on my Starbucks gift card, so I picked up a gingerbread oat milk chai latte for me, and Emerson requested a strawberry refresher.
And we took our drinks to the thrift store, for a quick look around to kill some time before gymnastics.
Grammy met us at the gym, and she took Emmie home with her, for a fun sleepover, and help out working on the Operation Christmas boxes for their church.
I picked up Addie Pie, and then took her Daddy, for them to have a daddy/daughter night together, and then ended up having dinner with his parents.
Meanwhile, I was hanging out eating burritos and talking about books, with my friends at our book club. We had the biggest group we’ve had in a while, and we just had lots of great conversations about many, many topics, and all ended up staying until like 10pm! So by the time I got home, I was just exhausted and didn’t write this post.
It’s currently about mid-afternoon on Saturday while I’m writing this, watching Survivor with Emmie while Jeff and Addie take a nap. Then we’ve got some chores and errands to do later today, and I’ll come back tonight to write the post for today!
