Burgers, Baked Beans, & Bubbles

My beautiful girls were up an at ’em with us early this morning, as both Jeff and I were both serving together on the GC Kids team, so the girls went to church with us early. I love their pretty dresses together, and their cute little white sandals for summer-time.

We had a coupon for buy-one-get-one-half-off subs at Firehouse, so we went there for lunch after church. Emerson specifically loves Firehouse, and ate her whole sandwich, and her whole bag of chips, and part of Addie’s sandwich too.

We ran by Walmart for a small pick-up order, including new sunscreen (I got a little sunburned on my back yesterday, and we think we had old sunscreen), and new after-sun lotion, and one of those sunscreen sticks for the girls’ faces, and just a couple of other things like that. When we got home, we all laid down for a nap, and some of us slept close to three hours, while I’m not really sure if Emerson actually slept at all.

We got up after 5pm, got ready in about 7 minutes, and then raced over to Nana & PopPop’s house for dinner and hang-out time. Nana gave Addie her belated birthday present tonight, as well as my belated Mother’s Day present as well. Then the girls just had a ton of fun playing with bubbles outside.

Nana made delicious homemade baked beans, and a nice cold Italian pasta salad, then Jeff and his dad grilled burgers and hot dogs on the Blackstone, and we had a nice yummy cookout for Memorial Day weekend!

We just had to go out and play with bubbles more after dinner, until it was time for a little brownie and ice cream for dessert. We also watched a little bit of the live-action Aladdin, and they were super into that.

We stayed up a little too late again tonight, but we don’t have school or work tomorrow, so we were making the most of our night and not having to wake up early tomorrow!
